Corporate History
Beginnings
ARC Pressure Data, Inc. had its beginnings with the Tom Hansen Company, Inc. which started its operations in 1959 as a bottomhole pressure data company. In 1965, tubing and casing testing were added to the product line, followed ten years later with production logging and perforating. In 1981, partner Richard Turner spun off the slickline department including bottomhole pressure and paraffin cutting, and ARC Pressure Data, Inc. was born.

Service Legacy & State-of-the-Art Technology
For over 20 years now, ARC has been the wireline service leader in the Permian Basin area of North America. Through Turner’s direction, ARC made a commitment to fund the development of an electronic memory gauge with a quartz sensor in 1984. ARC was one of the first service companies to introduce a quartz memory gauge in the Permian Basin.

As the slickline company continued to grow, production logging services were added to its transient testing, wireline, and engineering services. As ARC experienced tremendous growth in 1994, aggressive research and development efforts began from its new headquarters in North Texas, now near Denton, Texas.

The Legacy Continues
Under second generation leadership, Amy and Craig Turner have chosen to provide their service company with reliable pressure, temperature, and flow instrumentation. These efforts have resulted in memory data acquisition systems for production logging and pressure transient testing that are available for the petroleum industry today.

ARC continues to pursue growth where it makes sense for the service company and the tool development division. We have recently bolstered our position as a wireline leader in the Permian Basin through the acquisition of Lightfoot Wireline Services in May of 2000. ARC's look to the future is to be an outsourcing partner for technology, analytical services, and infrastructure support for data acquisition service providers to the international oil industry.
